Banjos by J. A. Sloan & Son
Quietly making some of the world's finest musical instruments since 1959.

Feast your eyes on this. Years of research went into what is the most visually dynamic and audibly distinctive tone ring we have ever offered. Nobody else has anything like it.

I'm calling it the Banshee after the zither banjo design featured elsewhere on this website. Here it is paired up with a new plectrum instrument.

The Banshee's geometry places the bridge within the head's optimum tonal field for a crisp, voluminous ring that you have to hear to believe.

The unique relionship of strings, bridge and tone ring result in a string-action responsiveness that is quicker than anything we have experienced from any other banjo.

We now offer downloadable sound bytes on this website so that you can hear some of our tone rings in action. You will find these at the bottom of the "Tone Rings" page.
